This is the Original Santa Squirrel™ — the one who started it all. He definitely loves that Santa hat and appears to love the snow. But — { Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone! } — he really doesn’t like snow at all. It’s not because of the shoveling (he doesn’t have to do much of that with his itty bitty squirrel shovel, honestly). It’s because snow means cold (brrrr!) and yummy nuts are so not aplenty in the winter. He prefers a sunny Maryland afternoon in July much more than any winter activities. That’s also when all of his human friends are at his favorite park handing out free squirrel treats. 😉 And, of course, he just adores having his photo taken!
